Getting to know Kristen Umholtz

Hi there, my name is Kristen and I am a licensed mental health counselor in the state of FL. Do you lack direction in your life? Feel like you have an internal battle of anxiety in your mind? Struggle with feelings of sadness or lack of motivation? Everyone's struggles look a little different, which is why my goal as a therapist is to customize the treatment to fit YOUR specific needs. As a counselor, I act as a guide to help my clients on their journey toward growth and a better future. I encourage my clients to come up with positive coping skills and improve their daily routines as we work together to accomplish their treatment goals. I have several years of experience working with clients who struggle with addiction to alcohol, drugs, and sex. While I specialize in addictions I enjoy helping individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, codependency, attachment issues, and bipolar disorder. As an intern, I led group sessions in a treatment facility and also worked with teenagers in a local high school. Once I became licensed I started to focus on building my private practice. I currently work in Maitland FL seeing clients in person and on telehealth platforms.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
