Getting to know Kristi Eckert

I am Kristi Eckert an, LPC, with a Master's in Counseling Psychology. I have been a licensed counselor for 10+ years in the state of Texas. I began my profession as a college counselor at Angelo State University Counseling Services in San Angelo, Texas. I loved working with the student population, but also wanted to work with adults in the general population, so I transitioned to a non-profit counseling service to work with adults of all ages. I enjoyed treating in-person and then via a Telehealth platform. I really missed seeing clients in person, which led me to Curis Functional Health, which allows me to treat clients in person and virtually.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am very vested in my clients and will do my best to provide support to help them work towards their counseling goals. I strive to provide a safe, supportive environment for my clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and emotions. Through this process, I hope my clients take the tools they learn in counseling and apply them to their daily lives.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I like to be present with clients and assist in developing patient's current counseling needs and goals. We will develop a collaborative therapeutic relationship as a foundation to work on their goals.
