I am a licensed clinical social worker and addictions counselor with nine years of experience in mental health and addictions. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, life transition issues, trauma, and addiction. I use techniques such as mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), insight-building, and strengths-based counseling to support clients through the healing process. I work primarily with adults, young adults, and adolescents.
I strive to help clients recognize their strengths during difficult times and promote healing from past hardships, stress, and addiction. My approach is holistic, emphasizing the mind-body connection. I believe healing occurs within relationships, so establishing trust and acceptance between therapist and client is vital. Many clients have shared that they appreciate my compassionate, non-judgmental, and collaborative style.
I earned my Bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado and my Master's in Social Work from Boston University. After returning to Colorado, I worked at the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless in various clinical and management roles. In 2016, I opened a private practice in Denver, where I continue to see individual clients. In addition to my Master's degree, I hold a License of Addiction Counseling.
