I began counseling after experiencing many years of darkness, haunting depression and needing to find hope and belief in higher power/self. I lived with an indigenous healer in sourthern mexico where I found soul and purpose again and began rehabilitation of mind, body and spirit over the next five years. I found hope and purpose by working with addicts suffering outside of Detroit. I worked with persons who were institutionalized from the prison system, women suffering from trauma, prostitution and abuse and people feeling displaced and questioning purpose and meaning. I work with persons who have deep trauma, depression, anxiety, dissociative disorders and desire to find hope, perhaps peace and acceptance in and ever-changing world.
