Lauren is a licensed independent social work associate who is passionate about working with clients from various backgrounds with unique needs. She works with clients to create a non-judgmental and empowering space where they can bring their entire self into the room in order to allow healing. Lauren currently works with youth (11+), teens, and adults, and she specializes in trauma recovery, attachment difficulties, depression, anxiety, behavior change, parenting support, stress/life transitions. She is passionate about supporting people on their spiritual exploration. She is currently working to gather hours toward independent licensure under the supervision of Virginia Agogliati, LMHC.
She holds a master’s degree in clinical social work from Portland State University and a bachelor’s degree in human development and family science from Oregon State University. Lauren is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), trauma focused- cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy, and uses a client center, humanistic approach.
The foundation of Lauren’s work is to build a strong and trusting therapeutic relationship with individuals across the lifespan. She pulls from eastern and western theories for a holistic view of her clients. She takes a system approach to therapy, acknowledging the environmental factors that affect each person. With a sense of connection to their own values, strengths, and environment, clients can make conscious and informed decisions about how to be their truest selves.
