I have been interested in becoming a Physical Therapist since I was in middle school. From playing softball my whole life, I suffered many injuries. After going to physical therapy for different injuries, I learned what it was like to be a patient, and qualities I desired in my Physical Therapist. I received my Bachelors degree from DeSales University majoring in Sport and Exercise Physiology, which then set me up to go to Rutgers to get my Doctorate in Physical Therapy. At Rutgers, I had a clinical experience in an acute care setting treating a variety of patients with numerous conditions including post joint replacement, post stroke, and patients receiving cancer treatments. I also had clinical experiences treating in the outpatient orthopedic/sport setting, working on getting patients back to prior level of function to return to work, sport, and other interests. From my experiences both clinically and as a patient, I knew I wanted to continue helping patients in the orthopedic setting recover from injuries.
