I’m a licensed mental health counselor in New York with 15+years of experience in behavioral health and a broad range of professional expertise. Throughout the years as a mental health practitioner, I’ve found counseling from a spiritual perspective to be most effective. Although psychoanalytic and many other theoretical approaches are essential in helping clients understand their current state, I believe it is important to focus mainly on the here and now to address the immediate issue. In well-functioning therapeutic sessions, I think continuous reflection on the process helps bring about lasting change. The concept is that we can change how we feel and behave more proactively.
I view my approach as eclectic and generally process-focused and employ the theory that best fits the situation. Client-centered and process-focused therapy require experience with a variety of methods. Spiritual counseling, CBT, and other evidence-based approaches and providing a full range of services are paramount in helping clients achieve a renewed sense of hope, placing them back on a path to success. I aim to help restore that sense of hope and assist clients in achieving their lifelong dreams and aspirations.
