I am licensed at the highest level in the State of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. I studied Education and Counseling with the goal of becoming a Clinician while attending Texas A&M University. I had begun studying Cognitive Behavioral therapy and utilized the approach while working with youth and families. While working in an inpatient behavioral health setting, I gained experience in utilizing the DSM V to assess and diagnose the client and determine the best method of treatment. I have worked with the substance abuse population and provided individual and group counseling, life skills, relapse prevention and education.
