I help couples and individuals heal and reconnect in their relationships. Having been in couples therapy as a client myself, I can relate to the struggles you are going through in your relationship and can understand how much courage it takes to show up and do the work in therapy.
My experience of the personal and relationship healing and transformation in couples therapy has motivated me to specialize in couples therapy so I can help couples and individuals with their relationships.
When working with you as a couple, I help you learn communication skills by giving you some practical tools that you can start using right away and once you are able to communicate safely with your partner, without blaming, criticizing, etc., then we dive into some of the deeper work.
I help you heal your relationship from past hurt, understand your own needs better as well as your partner’s needs and learn how to safely communicate those needs and in a way that your partner will be eager to meet them.
We work on understanding your attachment history, which is the attachment to your primary caregivers while growing up, and how this history plays out in your adult relationships today.
When it comes to my work with individuals, I want to say that there isn’t a more important relationship than the one we have with ourselves. Learning to love ourselves, understand and accept who we are, know our self-worth, how to set healthy boundaries - all these are necessary precursors to having healthy relationships with others.
