Maria works with individuals, couples and families from different ages, genders, experiences and socioeconomic backgrounds effected by trauma. She uses scientific research and evidenced based therapies including the Department of Defense and Veteran's Administration approved therapies such as Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, Brainspotting Therapy and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral therapy, to help her clients develop healthy and effective strategies reducing the effects of trauma and enabling clients to reach their life goals and live their lives in healthy, productive and effective ways that is unique to her individual clients.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Contact Healthy Strategies Therapy today to schedule your initial consultation. Clients will be sent an email to complete the intake documents with the standard questionnaire to prepare for the initial intake. During the initial intake visit, Maria and the client/clients will collaborate and gather information to identify healthy strategies to develop and support the client/clients in achieving the treatment goals and targeting trauma experiences or symptoms to process and to heal. Therapeutic sessions include targeting and reducing the devastating effects of the trauma experiences or the experiences/memories that causes the most effect on the client/clients' lives. We will not back pay for sessions later authorized. These arrangements must be made in advance of your first appointment to utilize insurance for payment. If you plan to use insurance, you are responsible to provide a copy of all insurances before your first scheduled session, or you agree to pay my regular rates in full at the time of the appointment. You must obtain an authorization from your insurance if needed for reimbursement before your first scheduled session, then you must upload a copy of your insurance cards front and back to the Client Portal link that will be sent to you.
