I’d always identified as someone who saw the world through a half empty glass. It colored the way I chose to see the world. I remained cynical, until I started talking about it. And slowly, the box of Crayolas began looking like a rainbow again. I was stubborn, I joked about it, I forced my friends to engage in second hand therapy. I joined a writing club and told them I was only there because of my therapist. When I went last week a friend in group saved me a seat. When it’s dark at 4pm I choose to sit down and write. I do the dishes when I run out of mugs. I advocate for myself at work. I apologize when I’m the one in the wrong and I forgive myself. When I can, I continue to make changes in my world. This is because of Lisa, she’s someone who will (virtually) rub your shoulder when you cry. She’ll jump for joy when you tell her you finally said it. She’ll encourage you to take a day when you need it. And she’ll make you smile when the Crayolas start to look the same again.
Highly recommend Lisa! She has made me feel supported and understood without judgement, and offers thoughtful insight and advice.

More about Lisa Czulinski, LMHC, NCC

I specialize in treating trauma but attend to a variety of concerns. My approach to counseling is integrative, meaning I blend interventions to fit each client's unique needs and pacing. I also embrace a solution-focused mindset and deliver up-to-date tools, out-of-session tasks, and psychoeducation that encourage healing, transformation, and empowerment. This way, individuals overcome obstacles by discovering, honoring, and accessing their inner wisdom and unique strengths. The therapeutic process can be remarkable and often challenging, offering the opportunity to change the lenses through which you view your inner and outer world, resulting in a more expansive life experience. Over the past five years, I have worked within a private practice to offer therapeutic services to individuals and couples while supervising limited permit clinicians. I hold a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Queens College, City University of New York.

I feel “seen” with Lisa like I never have before. We’ve been working together a few years, and I’ve grown leaps and bounds, thanks to her. She’s a gift of a practitioner!
Lisa is a wonderful listener and has such a warm, open and caring demeanor. I felt she not only heard my words but can also hear and pick up on what isn't being said. I have struggled with a lot of trauma and dysfunctional family systems including substance abuse, physical, mental, and emotional abuse and Lisa has really helped me to step up and ask for what I need in my relationships, which feels excruciatingly difficult with my family history. I am so grateful for her help.
