I saw Lori for approximately 10 years. She helped me through multiple developmental stages with patience and attunment. In the beginning of our treatment, I was avoidant of several topics, Lori was creative and catered to my interests as a way to face these topic, not head on, but beside so that it didn't feel threatening. Lori has a stong ability to track relationships, patterns and themes in our work and reflected them back as an offering to take or leave. She didn't need me to change but offered a way out of some of the cycles I kept finding myself in. It has been a year since I last saw Lori and the guidance she has provided has continued to build and grow even though our therapy has completed. I cannot express my gratitude for the length of time, the attunement and tracking, and patience that allowed me to develop a relationship that with her and myself that catalyzed so many changes in my life. I would highly recommend this provider.
I have really enjoyed my time working with Lori since 2017. She brings a wealth of empathy, knowledge, and experience to the table and I can’t imagine working with anyone else. I have learned so much from her and will continue to use the tools she’s taught me. She has been a life saver and I am so grateful! Thank you Lori for all the guidance and support over the years.

More about Lori Beard, LMHC

Feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or unhappy? First, take a moment to BREATHE. The next step towards relief is to connect with a seasoned, empathetic therapist. Life often presents us with daunting challenges that can cloud our judgment and obscure our options in the midst of emotional turmoil. I offer a compassionate, judgment-free sanctuary where you can freely express your innermost thoughts and feelings. Together, we'll embark on a journey to explore your choices, bolstering your ability to effect positive change. Whether you grapple with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, tumultuous relationships, childhood trauma, or are simply seeking to unlock your unique potential, my therapeutic approach can guide you. Utilizing a Jungian Oriented Approach, we will unearth the unconscious facets of negative thoughts and entrenched habits that have proven resistant to change. Identifying these elements will empower you to consciously transform them, leading to fulfillment in your career, relationships, and life overall. In the case of unresolved trauma, I offer the option of EMDR therapy to help desensitize and reprocess these events. This treatment can be a standalone treatment or in conjunction with analytic psychotherapy.

Lori has been helping me for over six months. Initially I was skeptical of therapy in general but I quickly saw the value that I was receiving from my sessions with Lori. I truely feel so fortunate that she is my therapist.
It's no exaggeration to say that working with Lori has transformed my life. I began seeing her in 2019, and since then I've gained internal self-esteem, an understanding of C-PTSD, and tools to help me navigate daily life. I am much more in tune with my emotions, and function at a much higher level than I did before her guidance. Lori is kind, professional, funny, and compassionate. I'm so grateful for her!
Lori is compassionate and personable. She has helped me to identify behavior patterns and has suggested ways to cope with challenges in my life. With her help I have been able to set better boundaries with a bipolar family member. I highly recommend her as a therapist.
Lori has changed my life!. I started off seeing her in 2014. I was hating myself and in a whole lot of a abusive relationships. After years of my stubborn denial I finally was ready to fully hear her. My life is the most peaceful and freer than ever before. Before seeing Lori I was unable to experience joy but today, today I experience it EVERYWHERE! In the wind that blows across my skin. In the sound of the the birds song. In a beautiful night sky. I mean really I could go on forever. I feel like I owe her my life! She is so wonderful. So patient. So supportive. THANK YOU LORI
I have been a patient for over 10 years with so many positive accolades to offer. The match that has been right for me is the combination of attention offered (listening) to active participation in practical applications suggested and supplemental resources offered. With a range of subjects covered in therapy I would recommend her without reservation.
I recommend her to everyone I know. She has a way of comforting you, making you feel safe and also pushing you delicately to be a better version of yourself. She doesn’t tell what to think or feel but guides you to discover truths and new ways of thinking. Very patient but will keep you accountable in your healing. This was the approach she used with me. Which might be her way of reaching people so well….knowing what approach works best for each individual.
Lori has been instrumental in guiding me through a very difficult, traumatic time in my life. I felt like a shell of myself when I came to her and I am now able to express myself better than I could prior to my trauma. She helped me to understand the root of my trauma, work through how it was impacting me both mentally and physically and to develop a stronger sense of self. Beyond trauma, she has also been very helpful in advising me along the way with major life decisions including job changes, moves and shifts in family dynamics. I am very grateful to have had such a wonderful relationship with a therapist I can trust throughout the past few years. She is thoughtful, caring, professional, wise and empowering. I highly recommend her therapeutic services.
