Hi there, I'm Mark!
Hi there, I'm Mark Raymond, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor based out of San Antonio, TX. Currently, I offer telehealth counseling services to adult clients only. My approach is action-oriented and solution-focused, empowering clients to set small goals to overcome challenges and strive toward achieving their full potential.
My approach
The approach I use is specific to each client. I feel that it is important to meet each client where they are, identify problems they would like to solve, and then help them cultivate a plan of action that the client believes will aid them in getting them to where they want to be. I use a strengths-based, action-oriented approach encouraging clients to continually strive toward achieving their desired outcomes.
My focus
I have found that my style and approach are best suited for adults who are motivated to solve their problems and willing to take an active interest in their lives. Though the journey towards meaningful change may be difficult, I firmly believe that through intentional effort, people can achieve significant progress in their lives.
My communication style
My communication style is supportive and encouraging, underscored with a can-do spirit. At times I can be enthusiastic and energetic. I do not sugarcoat; I believe in being authentic and in using accurate and meaningful words.
My journey to therapy
Like many therapists, counseling is my second career. I spent a number of years in the business world, predominantly in finance/investments. I woke up one day and decided I needed to spend the rest of my working life helping people in a more meaningful way.
My goals for you
My approach to goal setting is action-oriented, tangible, and specific. I am a huge believer in momentum. That is why I feel it is critical to start out with small achievable goals and continuously work towards achieving desired outcomes.
