Getting to know Megan Billups

Let ME help YOU unpack... your emotional baggage and lighten your load. As Erykah Badu sings in her powerful song, "Bag Lady," it's time to let go of all those heavy bags you've been carrying and start fresh. My approach to therapy is grounded in empathy, non-judgment, and collaboration. I believe that everyone can heal and grow, and my role as a therapist is to provide a safe and supportive environment to facilitate that process. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University. I have experience working with a wide range of concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship issues, self-esteem, family conflict, and life transitions. I have worked with individuals of all ages and all stages of life. I understand that seeking therapy can be a vulnerable and courageous step, and I commend you for taking that first step. So, let’s put those bags down and start the journey toward healing and growth. When booking an appointment, please select a start time at the half-hour mark. For example, book your appointment at the :30 minute mark.

What should a new client know about working with you?

The first session is primarily for me to build a good case conceptualization of your concern(s), and then to give you an outline of how we will proceed, possible length of time it will take, etc. Subsequent sessions will be to keep you on track with treatment goals and continue until we both agree that therapy is no longer needed. The many clients I have seen over the years will tell you I am a "direct, no fluff" kind of therapist but always come from a place of kindness and care.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
