I unfortunately broke my finger which resulted in emergency surgery to my finger and hand. A few weeks after my surgery, I started going to Hand therapy and have been treated by Mary Ellen and Alexia. I could not have asked for a better experience. Over the past month, my finger/hand has improved significantly and I am able to get back to doing the things I love. I was even made a customized brace to continue my treatments at home. I would highly recommend coming to hand therapy if you’ve had hand surgery/issues.

I spent the majority of my career as an Occupational Therapist at a Level 1 Trauma Hospital. I developed my skills working on an inpatient acute rehabilitation unit, a burn unit, bedside medical/surgical services, and as an outpatient hand therapist. I was the Director of Occupational Therapy at that facility for 20 years. I have been a certified hand therapist since 1991. I have continued my career treating upper extremity and hand patients with professional physical and hand therapy since 2016. I earned my Bachelor's in Occupational Therapy from the State University of New York, Buffalo.
