About John DiLorenzo
Leading occupational therapist John DiLorenzo, MS, OTR/L, CHT, has extensive experience treating upper extremity conditions affecting the wrist, shoulder, elbow, hand, and fingers. John DiLorenzo uses his knowledge and passion to benefit patients at Precision Rehab Occupational Physical & Hand Therapy, which has offices in the Fresh Meadows area in Queens, New York City, and Little Neck, New York.
John DiLorenzo earned his bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from York College and his master's degree in Exercise Science, specializing in cardiac rehabilitation and exercise physiology, from Queens College—both part of the City University of New York in Jamaica, New York. After graduating in 1996, he became a certified hand therapist (CHT) in 2004.
He has worked as a certified personal fitness trainer, certified exercise specialist, and health fitness instructor at several distinguished local facilities and has accumulated over 20 years of experience treating the upper extremities.
John DiLorenzo served as a director of occupational and hand therapy, overseeing clinical training and supervision of all physical and occupational therapists. He also developed many occupational and hand therapy clinics throughout the wider metropolitan area.
In addition to his experience collaborating with leading physicians and surgeons, John DiLorenzo was an expert medical lawsuit consultant for 10 years. He has been an adjunct professor at the New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) for hand therapy and upper extremities and an assistant adjunct professor for physical disabilities. He is currently an adjunct professor in orthopedics and orthotics at Long Island University (LIU) in Brooklyn, New York City.
In 2014, John DiLorenzo became the first occupational therapist to develop and patent a specialized dynamic orthosis device (DiLoTrax) for hand conditions.

I saw John DiLorenzo for an injury I endured playing sports and he was absolutely amazing! He had great bedside manner and communicated clearly and effectively. I highly recommend him and his faculty !

He allowed me to explain my reason for the visit and explained everything that he would be doing.
