Matthew Lopes PT, DPT is a physical therapist and Clinical Director of Professional Physical Therapy in Newark, NJ. Matthew grew up in Elizabeth, NJ and later attended Seton Hall University where he graduated with his BS in Biology in 2015 and later received his DPT in 2018. He is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish and believes that communication is one of the most valuable keys to excellent healthcare. He has treated all types of orthopedic
conditions and has been known to facilitate incredible changes with his hands and knowledge.
Whether your goals are to build strength, get rid of that nagging injury, or even get back on the field, Matthew believes physical therapy offers the answers and tools to be able to achieve them. He has worked primarily in outpatient settings but also has experience working side-by-side with doctors in hospital settings. He has worked
at Mountainside hospital in Montclair, NJ where he has treated numerous back, hip, knee, and foot surgery patients directly after they have undergone their surgeries. He understands the journey that many patients go through as he has experienced all stages of the healing process from the beginning to the end. His passion for physical therapy is very clear by his work ethic, compassion, and motivation to help his patients achieve their goals.
Matthew’s staff is also fluent in Portuguese and Spanish and they look forward to communicating with you to setup and establish your goals. Their office is located in the Ironbound section of Newark, and they have ample on-site parking.
