Maurie is a licensed professional counselor who has worked with broken families for almost 30 years. She earned a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Henderson State University. Maurie works with individuals of any age who are struggling with anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), grief, relationship difficulties and many other psychological problems. She is trained in play therapy and loves to help people discover themselves through sand tray. She believes we are all equipped with the answers; sometimes we just need guidance to uncover the answers. Maurie is married to her best friend of 35 years and is blessed with three children and eight grandchildren. She and her husband live in Hot Springs. She enjoys leisurely breakfasts, thrift store shopping, competitive games of Scrabble with her husband and reading. Most of all, her grandchildren are her favorite.
