I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adler University. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional with experience working with complex trauma from sexual and psychological abuse, systemic and interpersonal oppression, the experience of homelessness, to domestic and community violence. To support movement through trauma and life experiences that have left individuals stuck, I have been trained to utilize Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Additionally, I have two years of Life Coaching experience to support reaching thriving, future goals.
At Adler University, I learned what it means to be a socially responsible practitioner focusing on multiculturalism, social justice, and the community. Everyone has a unique individual experience influenced and supported by your personal, community, social, and systemic cultures. Understanding these and their intersections in life help to uncover the deeper self; how you see, respond, create meaning, and engage with the world.
I focus on working with adolescents and adults who have been stuck from trauma or past experiences that result in depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress, emotional dysregulation, grief/loss, or are seeking to know themselves and their identity. In getting to know yourself, I also have experience working with sexuality and LGBTQIA+ matters.
As every person is unique, I use a variety of strengths based, mind-body, and spiritual approaches to holistically create change in the ways you specifically need. At the same time, I believe you have the tools, skills, and motivation to thrive within you. My goal as your therapist is to provide a supportive, accepting, and safe space to cultivate and apply them. I look forward to meeting you and am honored to walk alongside you on this journey.
