I am a Licensed Social Worker, Professional Counselor, and Nationally Certified Counselor with almost 20 years of experience as a Licensed Clinician. I have had the pleasure of working with various population groups, including children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. I have provided counseling services remotely, on an outpatient basis, and in inpatient treatment facilities. My goal is to help clients lessen the stigma surrounding mental health and seeking treatment.
I have served clients dealing with mental health issues such as stress, depression, grief, trauma, substance use, anxiety, anger, post-traumatic stress, and a wide array of other challenges. I believe in treating all clients with compassion, respect, empathy, and sensitivity.
I earned my Bachelor of Social Work and Master's in Counseling, both from Jackson State University. I use interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma-Focused Approaches.
