Merrilee Larsen is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Maine who has been practicing since 1997. She has an MA in Counseling Psychology. For Merrilee, one of the most exciting things she has learned as a therapist is that we grow and change throughout our lives. Her practice focuses on helping individuals, couples, and families navigate the challenges of healing, supporting growth, and change. Merrilee’s background and training in evidence-based trauma, anxiety, and depression treatment (Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral (DBT) and Trauma Focused (TF-CBT) guides individual and family work. Many clients want to work on grief, relationship issues or transition to a new stage of life and want skills to manage that change. Merrilee understands and has expertise in these challenges. Merrilee is motivated to provide new approaches and support, as you decide on your goals, and in what direction you want to grow. Outside of work, Merrilee enjoys taking advantage of the many excellent hiking, trail running, and mountain biking trails all over Maine.
