Sometimes we are able to more or less smoothly negotiate and overcome these bumps in the road on our own, at other times we find ourselves stuck or bound up and we need some help sorting it out to get back on track.
Whether the problems are long standing from childhood or a response to current situations there is always hope that greater self awareness will lead to better functioning and more joy in life. Our mind, body, and spirit holistically inform how we understand ourselves and influences our experience of self and others.
Taking a collaborative relationship-based approach to therapy (also known as counseling), I provide an accepting, warm, and safe environment to facilitate moving forward in all areas of life.

Not a fan of her style... i prefer to have a conversation about my therapy and whats going on in my life with a professional who listens. I had an appointment late in the afternoon and she was visibly dosing off as I talked.

Did not appreciate lack of sympathy, the questions asked about very sensitive subjects were random and insensitive. She seemed uncaring and would ask deeply emotional questions just moments before the appointment would end, leaving me heading out the door in tears (on my lunch hour no less). I will not be going back and do not recommend to anyone.

Hmmm. I really wanted to like the meeting but felt rushed through paperwork. She asked me to come back 15 minutes before start time and there was no real eye opener for me. She's very nice though.

Very comfortable setting. Constructive suggestions. Ample time to discuss troubles/worries, etc. Creative thinking/problem solving ideas that benefit me often outside of my session. =)

I felt comfortable right away. Miriam is a good listener and a wise person. She helped me explore the problem from a number of angles which helped me gain perspective about myself and what I needed in various relationships that I've been struggling with.
