Hello, I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC) with a Master’s in Counseling Psychology and Art Therapy from Naropa University. I have worked in this helping profession for over 25 years, supporting adults managing life’s challenges, chronic health issues, grief and loss, depression, and addictions (their own and/or loved ones).
I specialize in working with adults (18-80) who have a history of trauma and feel they have lost hope to move forward, are overwhelmed by a major life event or trauma (such as relationship or marital struggles or a new health diagnosis, e.g., HIV), or feel stuck and stagnant in patterns, habits, relationships, and/or sexuality.
I use several modalities, including Mindfulness, Art Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
I have significant experience working with LGBTQIA individuals, particularly men with a current or past history of meth use. I provide sex-positive, non-judgmental support to help individuals arrive at a point in their sexual identity and lifestyle that works best for them in the long term.
