More about Naseana Francis, LCSW
Hello, my name is Naseana Francis, and I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Florida. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice and my Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Central Florida. My interest in clinical therapy was sparked while interning at the Bronx Psychiatric Center.
After that, I worked as a counselor for a non-profit organization assisting children involved in the criminal justice system. I then served as a Consultant for the State, working with individuals with physical and mental health disabilities. The services we provided ranged from counseling and mental health treatment to medical treatment, ADA accommodations, education services, vocational training, and even self-employment support. Additionally, I have had the opportunity to work in various clinical settings, including with survivors of domestic violence, adults and children in crisis situations (suicidal, active psychosis, etc.), patients with severe and pervasive mental health conditions, substance abuse and dependency, and patients with chronic medical conditions.
I chose to begin a private practice to better connect with clients compassionately while assisting them in uncovering deeply rooted generational patterns that may hinder their ability to overcome emotional and psychological barriers.
I am also a mother of two who loves to travel, making sure to revel in the experience of learning new cultures. I enjoy music, spending time with friends, cooking, and the beach. Although I spend a large portion of my day helping others, I believe it is equally important to take care of myself, and I want everyone I work with to do the same.
