When I think about my greatest inspiration in life, I would have to dedicate that title to past and present women who have made their mark by overcoming adversity to achieve their life's purpose. I'm greatly motivated by the magnificent women who have established themselves as trailblazers in their industry and serve as role models for others wanting to achieve the same goals. From these influential individuals, I have learned the importance of perseverance and grit without sacrificing vulnerability or feminine energy. I've applied these lessons to my own career, and I am now the proud founder and owner of A Life in Balance, LLC.?
With almost twenty years of experience as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I am deeply passionate about helping others effectively overcome life issues and mental health problems. My formal education comes from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, where I earned a Master of Arts in Psychology (MA) as well as a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT). I have served in a variety of roles within the mental health industry ranging from an Assistant Professor of Psychology and a Military and Family Life Counselor to a Remote Telehealth Virtual Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, amongst other role.
In addition to providing valuable mental health services in a virtual setting, I have in-person experience through intensive outpatient programs (IOPs), partial hospitalization programs (PHPs), private practices, schools, and hospitals. Although my expertise in mental health is comprehensive, I notably specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), marriage and couples counseling, anxiety, depression, Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), and even stress management.
