Getting to know Peter Meisner
I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California and Texas, practicing since 2015 with couples and adult individuals. My passion lies in helping people heal and successfully navigate their relationships and life changes. As we go through life, we often encounter obstacles and gather baggage that keep us from reaching our true potential. The goal in therapy is to clear your path and lighten your load, freeing you to reach your goals and live in contented harmony and happiness. Every individual is unique, with a unique past, present, and future. Your therapy should be customized to match you and your situation. I work with couples to regain intimacy and develop deeper, more loving relationships. Is past trauma holding you back? With training in trauma treatment, I can help you move through your trauma and into a brighter future. Having worked in addiction for seven years, I understand your struggles and how to overcome addictive behaviors while repairing your relationships. I am also trained in working with depression and anxiety. I have successfully raised two children and maintained a loving 30-year marriage to my best friend. Before returning to school to become a therapist, I worked in corporate America and was a successful entrepreneur. I understand and can help with the stress of having a career while trying to maintain work/life balance. I have been trained in CBT, CPT, CBT for insomnia, mindfulness, and other modalities. More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
