Rita is wonderful. I would highly recommend her, she has a diverse background and a wealth of knowledge.
Your site does list that she takes insurance despite her being an OON provider however. Luckily Rita was considerate and told me this when we met but Zocdoc should correct this to prevent people from wasting both her and their own time.

She is an interactive therapist who not only guides you to self-awareness but will actively provide you with feedback with her thoughts and impressions. She explains one's actions with scientific psychological reasoning and incorporates Eastern philosophical teachings. This is not some weepy session where you just blabber on end but one where you will discuss the reasoning behind your actions and feelings to uncover the basis for one's behavior and then enact manageable steps to evoke change, if one so desires. She creates and maintains a safe space without judgment so one find their own way.

I am professionally trained in treating all anxiety & depressive disorders (mood disorders) and personality disorders. Over the years, I have helped individuals learn how to cope and manage emotional dysregulation, self-injurious behaviors and other high risk behaviors. As a DBT-trained therapist I work with individuals needing skills in emotion regulation, impulse control & decreasing and ceasing self-harm. If you need help in coping with anxiety, depression & with any specific phobia and with building a life worth living, my clinical background can help you achieve this and lead you to a better place.
I have worked extensively using CBT & DBT techniques. Specific to treating anxiety & phobias, I am experienced in systematic desensitization; exposure therapy, an intervention proven beneficial for these problems. My training & experience as a DBT therapist has led me to successful work with borderline personality individual in learning skills to decrease self-harm & impulsivity.
My training in anxiety disorders including phobias makes me comfortable working with clients approaching feared environments; doing "in vivo" or "in life" therapy, My DBT experience enables me to use techniques where individuals are safely exposed to emotions in the office where they learn coping skills; to improve the quality of their lives.
For those individuals seeking psychodynamic therapy, I am trained in psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
