I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, and a Life Coach. I specialize in counseling for teens who are suffering and parents too! I also specialize in counseling men and women in Mid-LIfe Crisis misery. Much of my focus over the past several years has been on helping individual Men, Women, and Teens turn down the negative self-talk, the negative “chatter” that prevents one from achieving greater success and happiness. It is this negative voice that decreases confidence and productivity and increases anxiety and depression. I know what that’s like, as I, too, was plagued with that for many years. Through my own therapy years ago and through my work I have developed techniques that have helped many others find and develop their own “Inner Coach”, as I have. Together we work to strengthen the Inner Coach that silences the negative chatter and encourages better growth, balance, confidence, and positive well-being.
Through the years I have worked with individual clients suffering from Anxiety, Depression, Substance Abuse, Relationship, Sexual Orientation, Loss & Grief, Life Transitions, and Anger Management issues. I utilize Cognitive/Behavioral Therapy, Coherence Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy. I do not work with Couples.
In my practice, I strive to be as real, honest, and authentic as possible. My goal is to create a collaborative environment in which the client can grow and prosper. I am not the stereotypical therapist. I am actively involved in the client’s “world” and therapeutic work.
