More about Ruth Juneau, MEd

My approach: Ruth considers it an honor to walk alongside her clients in their journey toward healing and growth. She believes every person is capable of change and healing and is excited to help people live as their true selves by working through barriers to authentic living. Ruth’s focus as a therapist is helping adults and teens unravel the tangled knots of their lives that keep them feeling lost, stuck, anxious, and inadequate. She places the therapeutic relationship at the forefront of counseling and believes a relationship embodying trust and respect can deeply heal. Her hope is to create a safe and comfortable space, meeting every part of you with an open heart so you can feel connected to peace, spaciousness, and belonging that will see you through any obstacle. I enjoy working with: - eating disorders - trauma - grief & loss - self-esteem issues - depression - anxiety - life transitions - women’s issues Integrative trauma-informed approach incorporating spirituality into sessions when requested. Therapies I use: - EMDR (eye-movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy) - CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) - DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy) - IFS (internal family systems) - Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) - Somatic Experiencing (SomEx) - Experiential Therapy More about me: Ruth earned her MEd in Human Development Counseling from Vanderbilt University.
