My approach:
Ruth considers it an honor to walk alongside her clients in their journey toward healing and growth. She believes every person is capable of change and healing and is excited to help people live as their true selves by working through barriers to authentic living.
Ruth’s focus as a therapist is helping adults and teens unravel the tangled knots of their lives that keep them feeling lost, stuck, anxious, and inadequate. She places the therapeutic relationship at the forefront of counseling and believes a relationship embodying trust and respect can deeply heal. Her hope is to create a safe and comfortable space, meeting every part of you with an open heart so you can feel connected to peace, spaciousness, and belonging that will see you through any obstacle.

More about me:
Ruth earned her MEd in Human Development Counseling from Vanderbilt University. She completed her internship at The Refuge Center for Counseling, gained experience at the PHP/IOP level of care at a treatment center in Nashville, and continues to lead individual intensives at Onsite Workshops in Cumberland Furnace, TN. Ruth has experienced her own healing journey through trauma work and growing spirituality, allowing her to deeply connect and empathize with clients. She applies her personal experiences facing challenges to promote optimism and self-compassion toward healing.
