I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Connecticut and Pennsylvania. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Delaware State University. I earned my Master’s degree in Social Work with a focus in Trauma-Informed Care at Widener University.
I believe that every person is unique, special, and important. I believe that the healing process is different for everyone and I am dedicated to finding creative solutions tailored to my client’s needs. I have worked closely with individuals of all ages experiencing chronic illness, terminal illness, and issues related to grief and loss both individually with clients and with families as a whole. I have previous experience working in hospice care and oncology care. I currently work with clients ages 9 and up.
In addition to my experience with grief and chronic illness, I have experience working with clients who are experiencing difficult life changes or hardships including (but not limited to) trauma, depression, anxiety, ADHD, substance abuse, relationship issues, self-esteem issues, LGBTQIA clients, and family dynamics/conflicts. I enjoy using CBT, mindfulness, DBT, and solution-focused theory to help clients with uncomfortable symptoms in the moment, so they may then take the skills they have practiced and learned within their sessions and apply them in daily life. I approach life with humor and bring that sense of humor into my sessions, while practicing empathy and compassion to help my clients navigate through hardships to find the comfort and peace they desire.
