More about Dr. Shayna Reibman, PhD
Dr. Reibman earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Pitzer College in Claremont, CA in 1994. After college, she moved to Morocco and spent two years teaching English as a foreign language. She then attended Alliant International University, Fresno, and earned her Ph.D. in clinical psychology in 2002 with an emphasis in Cross-Cultural Psychology. She moved to Colorado in 2001 and finished her pre-doctoral and post-doctoral training at Community Reach Center. She became licensed in 2004 and opened her private practice that same year.
In her therapy practice, she is committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for clients to work toward whatever changes they desire. Although she specializes in trauma work and EMDR therapy, she promotes overall wellness through a variety of treatment modalities including EMDR, solution-focused therapies, cognitive-behavioral therapies, and client-centered therapies. She believes that connectedness to others is a critical issue for many people and she will work with you to improve your interpersonal relationships through skill-building and self-awareness. She helps people recognize and develop their strengths and resources in order to more effectively utilize these in different areas of their lives. She has completed training in EMDR, Critical Incident and Stress Debriefing, and working with veterans. Dr. Reibman specializes in trauma work with individual adult clients using EMDR and has a special interest in working with military veterans.
When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling. She loves animals and enjoys spending time with her lab mix and her two cats.
