Shoshana Ort is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and was inspired to pursue a career in mental health after personal experience. She has lived with chronic illness for over 25 years, struggled with anxiety from the stress of the chronic illness, and it came to a head when she shattered her ankle at the age of 21.
Shoshana decided to practice psychotherapy because she felt she understood firsthand how growing up with challenges can play out in real ways later on. She was driven to find a way to really help people deal with their anxiety and reach their goals. When Shoshana learned how to REWIRE the anxious brain, she felt like she finally found the missing piece she had been searching for. Now, with this technique, Shoshana aids clients in figuring out where their anxiety stems from, leading to different approaches for various anxieties and individuals.
Through her working with individuals of different ages, Shoshana has helped clients understand why their brains are acting the way they are, and she has helped them overcome their fears, and reach their goals. She has also helped clients who are experiencing burnout "reboot" and find the strength they need to go on.
Shoshana has worked with youth and taught about emotion recognition and regulation, and has worked with teens and adults, delving deeper into the root of their challenges. She has worked with those dealing with burnout, anxiety, depression, addiction, and emotion dysregulation.
