Dr. Soonok Kim is a warm, comforting physical therapist treating patients in New York City and the surrounding communities. Her primary goal as a practitioner is to provide rapid and long-lasting pain relief to each of her patients. She combines her Western medical expertise with Eastern therapeutic concepts to provide a comprehensive approach to treatment.
Originally from South Korea, Dr. Kim attended American Liberty University in California in order to pursue her Ph.D. in physical therapy. She continued her medical education at the Jacobi Medical Center, where she received her residency training. Dr. Kim keeps her practice up-to-date by attending functional orthopaedic conferences.
Patients visiting Dr. Kim can receive a full range of physical therapy services. She provides general consultations, post-operative mobility therapy for the joints and body, ultrasound therapy, movement disorder exercise, and massage therapy. Treatment is also available for issues including sports and occupational injuries, scoliosis, herniated disks, and fibromyalgia. When she is not treating patients, Dr. Kim enjoys reading medical journals and spending time with her husband and two children.
