Shortly after my retirement from the military, I received my Master’s degree in Counseling and Psychology. Additionally, I earned Masters’ degrees in Business Administration, and International Relations. My main approach to counseling is with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), as it is an evidenced based therapeutic approach to many of life’s challenges. I am also trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-i), as well as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. I hold a certification as a Clinical Trauma Professional and am a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200).
I’ve been married for over twenty-eight years. After retiring from the US Army, I chose to transition into a career field to help others. When not working, I enjoy the Florida beaches, downhill snow skiing (not in Florida), reading, yoga, spending time with my family, and walking our two miniature poodles.
