With over 20 years of experience as a Licensed Independent Professional Counselor and an Independent Substance Abuse Counselor in Arizona, I bring a wealth of knowledge and compassion to my practice. My extensive training includes Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID), Trauma-Informed Care, and Substance Abuse Recovery. Born and raised in Arizona, I ventured to Alaska for my graduate internship and ended up staying for over three years. My time there was transformative, both personally and professionally. I cherish the great outdoors, enjoying activities like camping, fishing, and traveling. When I'm not working, you might find me creating intricate landscape wall quilts out of fabric, a hobby that brings me immense joy and relaxation. I've always had a deep love for animals, having shared my life with dogs and cats, including two long-haired collies and an Akita. Living with chronic health issues and being a breast cancer survivor has given me a unique perspective on resilience and the human spirit. I understand that change is hard, but I firmly believe that it is possible. My approach to therapy is grounded in empathy, patience, and a steadfast belief in my clients' ability to overcome their challenges.
