Dr. Susannah Tung is incredibly down to earth. She made me feel so comfortable and was very much present and tuned into me throughout my sessions with her. She assesses me as a whole person and her treatment takes all the different parts of my life and being into consideration. Her office is lovely and inviting, her presence comforting and relaxed. She’s simply the best.

Susannah Hill, M.D., M.S. She is a board certified psychiatrist. She is a diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Hill has practiced inpatient and outpatient psychiatry in Westport since finishing her residency in Brooklyn, NY at Brookdale University Hospital which is affiliated with the State University of New York. As a chief resident in psychiatry she has taught medical students from Methodist Hospital which is an affiliate of Columbia-Cornell and also students from Ross University, Saba University and New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, NYCOM. She is is an assistant professor of psychiatry at St. Vincent's Hospital and Medical Center for Quinnipiac University School of Medicine. Dr. Tung has admitting privileges at St. Vincent’s Behavioral Health and St. Vincent’s Hospital. She is interested in addiction psychiatry and she treats appropriate patients suffering from opiate dependence with Buprenorpine/Naloxone, (Suboxone) detoxification and maintenance.

Dr. Tung- Hill is a first-rate therapist and a wonderful woman. She has ALWAYS been very kind to me, very helpful, wise and a huge source of comfort and solace - I would recommend her very ardently. She WILL help you sort out whatever is bothering you with laser-beam focus and there's always a box of tissues nearby.

Very open and helpful. She was able to write me a prescription for my normal medication right away, she listened to my history with different medications, and even had some helpful suggestions for a plan if I needed to supplement or adjust my medication plan in the future. Easy to talk to and laidback conversational manner made it feel like an actual conversation instead of an interrogation, which has been my experience in the past.

I have always had and continue to hold, five years later, a very high opinion of Dr. Tung's character and her capabilities, I respect her as a person and have a natural affection for her as my therapist and a person who cares about my mental health and overall well- being. You can apply these words to ALL of my visits with her. I didn't realize nearly five years had passed - she was pregnant when I last saw her and she stopped seeing patients when she gave birth - for obvious reasons - I think she's wonderful and I recommend her highly!

She was the first psychiatrist that really listened to me. She made me feel like she really genuinely cared and believed everything I was telling her, that other psychiatrists hadn't taken as seriously. She prescribed medication that has helped my anxiety and depression more than any other medication. I got in right away to see her, and she is very comforting.

I initially decided to visit Dr. Tung because of her scheduling flexibility (particularly her willingness to accommodate the schedule of full time working professional such as myself) that, and the whole host of rave reviews posted here on zocdle, to which I can now attest. Dr. Tung is compassionate, considerate, and doesn't make you feel like you're under a microscope the way some "shrinks" do. She listens, but she's also efficient and only keeps you for as long as you want to be there. I'll definitely be back.

Dr. Susannah Tung is a psychiatrist that I would highly recommend. My first appointment, I was contacted prior my appointment by , via phone; to confirm. The office coordinator ( Judy) was not only professional, but friendly & welcoming. Entering her practice, I immediately felt at ease. The ambiance is quaint, quiet and much like a "log cabin resort & or retreat for relaxation. I did not have to wait at all. Dr. Susannah Tung was friendly, thorough & accommodating, in all aspects. Genuinely concerned for my well being. Some offices can make you feel as if , you are simply another face in the crowd..almost like "cattle."
My experience here, quite opposite of that. I
I will be seeing her again, and feel it's the beginning of "my long term care/maintenance" with Dr. Susannah Tung.

Dr. Tung is sincere, compassionate, and knowledgeable, and I highly recommend her services, particularly for people who are newly seeking care.
At first, I was apprehensive about seeking mental health care because I was not sure if I would realize the benefits in the near-term, and I had previously had a lot of trouble finding an appointment with other doctors. Dr. Tung made it easy to schedule an appointment with her office, and she was very flexible and accommodating in working with me to find the best appointment time based on my busy schedule.
My first visit with Dr. Tung was surprisingly helpful. I did not know what to expect, so I was pleasantly surprised by her insights and immediate ability to share her perspective and expertise in ways that I could use to address the matters for which I was seeking help. Things began to improve for me immediately.
I have since returned to see Dr. Tung several times and plan to maintain a regular schedule with her because I have greatly benefited from her support and clinical knowledge. She is very personable and attentive, and I believe she truly cares about her patient's overall well-being. I like her because she makes me feel better.
I would highly recommend Dr. Tung for anyone who is seeking the care of a compassionate, high-caliber psychiatrist who is focused on outcomes and meaningful improvements resulting from her care and treatment. She is a very refreshing doctor in a sea of doctors who don't seemingly give a lot of care and thought to their patients as real people with real lives vs. a person with a medical problem who will be in their office for 20 minutes.
