“Dr. C is always helpful, fun, and kind to any situation I bring to her. Unlike many other quick-to-prescribe doctors. She actually cares and works hard with the patient to find the solution internally. I always feel better about my life situations and personal struggles when I leave her office. She is a one of a kind mental health professional. ”

Getting to know Dr. Randi Cohen

I like to start with your goals in treatment and work in the present first, then bring in aspects of the past if they seem relevant. I have great respect and appreciation for the people I work with, and I'm not shy about pushing you to acknowledge uncomfortable truths and embrace change. Unlike many other therapists, I am interactive and transparent about what is happening during treatment, which I believe helps you get the most from the therapy experience. I have training in a number of therapy styles, from classical to modern, allowing me to tailor my approach to suit the person and the problem. My educational background includes a Bachelor's degree from Princeton University, a PhD from the University of California, Santa Cruz, medical training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University where I earned my Doctor of Medicine, and a residency in Psychiatry at Yale University. This diverse training informs my flexible and personalized approach to care.

It was good. Made me feel relaxed. A light at the end of the tunnel. Given me hope for better days.
Relief when I leave it feels like I have accomplished one step ahead for me

She actually cares and works hard with the patient to find the solution internally. I always feel better about my life situations and personal struggles when I leave her office. Dr. Cohen is the best therapist I have seen. She is attentive and always encourages me to make changes without overwhelming me. I appreciate her compassion and she has taught me how to be compassionate to myself. I have struggled with depression and anxiety for many years. I finally feel like I have the support I need.
Dr. Cohen is great - her approach is far more practical than that of other therapists I've visited. She's focused on helping you make constructive changes, not being all touchy - feely about your feelings & your mother.
In 10 months of Dr. Cohen's care, I've found her to be very attentive, earnest, and compassionate. Her style is participatory, energetic, and pragmatic. Though, she'll readily support longer-scale philosophical pursuits with rigour and sympathy. I believe I'm a happier person for being in her care.
