I am committed to providing compassionate and individualized psychotherapy in a warm, safe, and accepting environment. In our work together, we will strive to bring about the emotional growth, change, and healing you desire. I use a flexible and integrative approach within an attachment-focused framework. I believe how we cope with difficulties, no matter the severity, is greatly affected by our past and present relationships and experiences. We will focus on your unique strengths to conquer troubling issues as we dispel difficult messages you have internalized. A healthy therapeutic relationship is key to a successful therapy experience.
I work with concerns including trauma and crisis, PTSD, loneliness, relationship issues, depression, anxiety, life transitions, or a consistent feeling of being ?too sad.? I enjoy working with adults, adolescents, and couples. Pictured above is Sophie, my white golden retriever therapy dog. She is two years old and completing therapy dog training. If you wish, she will attend your session. She loves meeting new people and has a calming effect on clients and the therapy environment.
If you want to incorporate your faith into sessions, I am a person of faith, and we will draw upon this strength as one healing strategy. Unique to my practice is 12 years of work with victims of crime, trauma, and PTSD patients. I hold a Master's degree in Counseling from Colorado Christian University, enriching my ability to support clients with empathy and professionalism.
When I'm not working, I enjoy gourmet cooking, traveling, and time with friends and family. I am married to my husband of over 30 years and have two adult children.
