I have just begun physical therapy with Swapnali At StarPro Following my surgery for a spinal fusion and laminectomy. She is very excellent. She assessed the situation and is going slowly and easily but I already feel stronger and more confident about my recovery. She has given me exercises to do at home, which are quite within my powers. I can’t say enough about how pleased I am with her care and expertise.

Dr. Swapnali Shinde is a calm and thorough physical therapist working in New York, NY. She earned her Master’s degree in Health and Rehabilitation Science with an emphasis on Musculoskeletal Physical Therapy from the University of Pittsburgh. In addition, she is certified in facial movement taping and has completed training in vestibular rehabilitation.
Dr. Shinde provides treatments for injuries, joint problems, back problems, and heart and lung strengthening. She specializes in Maitland’s mobilization methods, the McKenzie method, the Graston technique of instrument-assisted manual therapy, myofascial release, and the strain-counterstrain technique. She also provides therapeutic exercise for her clients. Dr. Shinde uses the latest technology for a better patient experience, including ultrasound, cold lasers, and an electronic balance board.
Outside of work, Dr. Shinde enjoys working out, photography, and painting. She speaks both English and Spanish.

Swapnali is an amazing physical therapist, and is a genuinely sweet and caring person all around. I actually look forward to my appointments with her, because it tends to feel like hanging out with a friend, while rehabbing my shoulder in the process.
