I am a Licensed Social Worker and accomplished yoga instructor in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania with an extensive background working with both adolescents and adults in individual and group settings. I am seasoned in working with addictions as well as generalized mood disorders and life stressors.
I believe a full life means the ability to practice continuous reflection. My primary goal as a therapist is to empower individuals and families by teaching tools that lead them to feel successful and in control of their lives. I truly believe through the journey of therapy and self-discovery one can gain the ability to live an authentic, positive life.
I have found in my experiences as a clinician that quite often an individual begins their therapeutic process by asking, “what is wrong with me?” rather than “what is right with me?” In my collaborative work with clients, I illustrate the process of how to reframe negative thoughts in order to develop a more positive sense of self.
My therapeutic style is eclectic. Although I predominately utilize strategies from the Strength-Based Approach, I also draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Life Coaching, and Mindfulness techniques.
