Tyisha Nedd (She/Her) is a registered Dance/Movement Therapist and Creative Arts Therapist. She earned her Master of Science in Dance/Movement Therapy from Pratt Institute in 2020 and holds a Bachelor's degree from Ohio State University.
Tyisha acknowledges that the body holds essential information for understanding our experiences in the world. Her work utilizes body-based practices, the creative process, and mindfulness to support clients on their life journeys. Tyisha guides clients in engaging the body as a means to support processing, vitality, insight, empowerment, body-mind connection, and healing. She has worked with people of all ages and many experiences, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues (monogamous, polyamorous, ethically non-monogamous), grief, identity (LGBTQ+, gender, race, ability, neurodivergence, spirituality/religion), and trauma. I had a great session with Tyesha.
She showed up exactly at 3pm on the dot.
I've had some issues in the past with mental health providers due to either connectivity issues, offices cancelling last minute, etc.
I'm usually a bit apprehensive about therapy due to my prior experiences, especially in a virtual setting; I did genuinely enjoy the initial session and would love to continue having sessions with Tyesha.

In our first session, Tyisha immediately made me feel welcome, safe, and heard. As a queer woman, truly empathetic and understanding practioners can be hard to come by. With Tyisha I was able to dive righ Her warmth and manner is bar-none and I would recommend her to anyone who wants a provider to meet them as and where they are.

Tyisha Nedd was very attentive to my needs during my session and was empathetic during our interaction. I am looking forward to furthering our patient/provider relationship and gaining some coping mechanisms to manage stress and any any other emotions that may have a negative effect on my overall health.
