Lori specializes in supporting individuals struggling with chemical dependency and the associated trauma and codependency often resulting from generational impacts on families.
Over the past two decades, clients working with Lori have developed healthy coping skills for daily living, taken steps toward committing to a recovery-based lifestyle, and addressed trauma that has hindered their self-actualization. By utilizing evidence-informed practices such as Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness, clients have restored the peace, joy, and hope lost due to drug and alcohol addiction, trauma, anxiety, depression, shame, guilt, racial discrimination, and codependence.
Lori holds a Master of Education in Professional Counseling from Missouri Baptist University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She has experience working in adult corrections, inpatient and outpatient mental health, and has served as a manager in an outpatient substance abuse treatment facility.
