As a therapist, I focus on getting to know the individual. It’s important that the individuals I work with feel like they are heard and understood. I provide a safe place for people to process what they are going through and work through the challenges. In my experience, most people do get better with treatment. I also believe that life is difficult and everyone faces challenges in their life at some point. Counseling can be a normal part of remaining healthy or getting healthy. I’ve been a Social Worker all of my adult life. This profession is my calling, not just my job.
