Getting to know Wenqi Qiu
It is never easy to acknowledge something that weighs on you, not to mention the daunting feelings of bringing it up to someone new. Within the safe and supportive space of psychotherapy, we can explore what is on top of your mind. My role is to attend to your feelings and thoughts and help transform them into new insights about yourself. Together, we will work through your distress and turn it into your inner strength for personal growth.
We may feel overwhelmed by life's pivots and turns, especially when they involve career and culture transitions. My own career is marked by a turn from aviation to education, and I have lived and worked in both China and the US. This life journey of change lends me firsthand experience of how complex it can be to find your footing in new places and roles. As an immigrant who shifted track in professional life, I firmly believe in our innate capacity for change and growth. This belief sits at the core of my work and my trust in your resilience and potential, no matter what you're facing.
I hold a Master's in Social Work from Columbia University, which has equipped me with a strong foundation in evidence-based therapeutic approaches and a deep understanding of diverse cultural experiences.
At the heart of our work together is a relationship built on trust, curiosity, compassion, and hope. I'm here to listen, to explore what has shaped your experiences, and to provide a space where you can feel safe to bring whatever is on your mind.
