I work with people who seek to become the realest version of themselves and learn to enjoy themselves more. I help clients work with, rather than against, anxiety, depression, anger, grief, limiting beliefs, habitual thought and behavioral patterns, and existential despair. Through the therapeutic relationship, we come to better understand how we wish to relate to everyone – family, lovers, friends, colleagues, strangers. While therapy can be challenging, and may put one in contact with potentially frightening or unpleasant emotions, we will also have fun and laugh along the way at the beautiful absurdity of being human, all too human.
I specialize in present-moment centered therapy, and believe that as we unwind and release our stories, we find what it is like to abide in the ever-fresh here and now. I have been influenced by trauma-informed, client-centered therapy, as well as Gestalt therapy, mindfulness-based therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, parts work, and somatic awareness and processing.
