My therapy style is distinguished by an underlying; Adlerian Individual Psychology, Rational Emotive Behavior, and Reality Therapeutic diagnostic approach toward the clients/patient’s struggles addressed in session utilizing current best practice treatments associated with anxiety and depression found in DBT and Motivational Interviewing.
I attempt to identify the patient’s/client’s mental disorder utilizing the DSM 5 and current best practice psychotherapy recommended by the ASA and psychotherapeutic model best suited to help the patient/client reach their goals as articulated by them in treatment.
This Psychotherapist has benefitted from the privilege of decades of challenging and enjoyable psychotherapeutic experiences that have encompassed treating young children, teens, couples, the severely mentally challenged, seriously dependent drug users, troubled families, and the bereft parents who have lost children but found solace in the therapeutic process and gained hope to move forward toward a brighter future.
This Psychotherapist successfully passed his CADC in 2006 he earned his BS and MA while working full time as a dispatcher for a concrete ready mix corporation, often only having time to take one class a semester, eventually earning his LCPC in 2015. Counselor considers himself blessed with the support of his wife of 30 years and his 4 children.
