Alex Chan earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Columbia University Medical Center, where he specialized in advanced orthopedics and received the Marcia Ebert Award for Clinical Excellence. He is a National Strength and Conditioning Association Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
Alex Chan originally grew up in Ohio where he received a bachelor’s degree with a triple major in Finance, Marketing, and International Business. Following a short career in Commercial Banking, he decided to move to NYC to attend Columbia University’s Postbaccalaureate Premedical Program to pursue a career as a physical therapist.
Alex Chan has a passion for working with running athletes. He has been an avid runner for more than a decade. Alex completed the 2015, 2016, and 2017 New York City Marathon, and he has also participated in races ranging in distance from the 5K to the ultramarathon. He utilizes his interests and specialized knowledge to treat common and complex running injuries.
