I had my first and second appointments at Dr. Khan's office this week. It was a very pleasant experience and I was treated well by all of the staff from the front desk, to the questions about my health by the nurses and the stress tests and blood work. The entire staff worked as a well oiled machine and moved me along with other patients in and out of the examination and treatment rooms. The initial wait was short and the waiting room is very comfortable. The entire staff was pleasant, friendly, and very helpful. On the first day, I had my radioactive labeled stress test on the treadmill with the associated scanning and the heart sonogram. On the second day, all of my arteries and veins were examined by sonogram in my neck and my legs including the blood pressure ratios between my arms and legs to determine the health of my entire circulation system. I was there about four hours the first day and three hours the second day, and it was fun and enjoyable. It was the most thorough examination of my life, and Dr. Khan is fabulous. She interviewed me, discussed my diagnosis and treatment. Since I had not seen a primary care physician nor had my meds for six months she wrote me prescriptions and gave me a free sample for my blood pressure since it was high.
How can I say it was the best Dr's visit of my life? They even have very nice coffee and snacks for you after the stress test and while you wait for other procedures. It was great because all of the equipment is right there and no need to go to the hospital for procedures or to a lab to get blood drawn. I can't wait until I go back in eight weeks.....and I hate going to the doctor's!!! That's why I had not had my meds for six months! My ex boss is a retired cardiologist and he was urging me for six months to go to a doctor, preferably a cardiologist, for a thorough examination and I didn't go until this week. I have a family history of heart disease and 6 out of 6 risk factors, but my prognosis is good. I had not had a stress test in 8 or 9 years and I'm glad I went. You should too!
