I received a pretty subpar, 5-minute routine cleaning at this office. They tried to upsell me on a “deep” cleaning instead of just doing a quality routine cleaning like any other quality dental office. Avoid.

I have had a true fear of dentists for YEARS and that kept me from taking care of my dental health. I am so so SO happy I found Dr Aaron Kahen. Him and his whole staff were so friendly and made me feel super comfortable. The Dr made sure to explain everything that was going on very clearly and everything needed and i loved that he presented me with a care plan for the future. Needless to say I think I have found my favorite dentist office ever. Shout out to Jesse who did my cleaning and the girl who did my X-rays (she was THE COOLEST - can’t remember her name ??)
10000/10 recommend coming here and trusting them!

Super friendly, up front about what you need. I've always hated getting X-rays of my teeth because it's always been uncomfortable. Alan made it painless and comfortable. Dr. Aaron is delightful! I highly recommend Sherman Oaks Smile Center!

Simply the best! The office staff was super-knowledgeable about insurance options/process, the parking was very easy, and Dr. Kahen is so fantastic. He's super smart about dental care and takes all the time you need to help you understand what's happening with your teeth. Great cleaning and excellent experience overall.

This was not only the best dental office visit I have ever had, it is also the only end-to-end good dental visit I have ever had in my life, and that covers a lot of ground! I cannot tell how how many eccentric, lazy, distracted, entitled, sadistic dental professionals I have sat for in the past 40 years, but sufficed to say, it has become harder and harder to motivate myself to keep up with my regular dental consults. But Dr. Kahen is a true professional who is generous with time, attentive to patient needs, and skilled in his discipline. Tina, the office admin, is a ball of friendly energy who shows hospitality, concern, and forthrightness from the moment you walk through their doors. I cannot recommend this dentists and this practice enough! No hard sell, no unnecessary waiting, and a transparent communication of all fees and charges.

This dental office is OUTSTANDING! It’s a hidden gem that I asked myself why didn’t I visit earlier. Dr. Aaron and his staff are fantastic, accommodating and pleasant. A visit to his office is not your standard “dreaded visit to the dentist”. Everything from scheduling the appointment to the text/call reminders to the office make Dr. Aaron user friendly. I had deep cleaning completed earlier today and the entire procedure was totally painless as he and his entire staff go out of their way to make sure patients are at ease. Parking is highly in demand, so get there early. Book a visit with Dr. Aaron, you won’t regret it. I am glad I found a dentist for life.

He is very gentle. Also you know in advance what the cost will be.
He examines you and has his administrator calculate the cost w/ insurance and presents it to you before any work is done. So you decide what you want to do. No surprises.

Excellent service. Both front staff and Doc. Even received a really friendly text from the owner’s wife talking through my insurance coverage. She was so kind. Everything about this place reminds me of the small, east coast businesses I’ve been searching for ever since I moved to LA. One thing I would say is the doc suggested Invisalign even though my teeth are pretty darn straight. Felt a bit like profiteering. But as soon as I declined, he didn’t ask twice. All in all, this place is excellent. Highly recommend.

Dr. Kahen is an amazing doctor. Tina at the front desk and Allen as the dental hygienist are very friendly and amazing too! I drive 25 minutes to be seen here and definitely think its worth it. Dr. Kahen makes sure you are comfortable multiple times during your visit and gives you breaks as needed. No ones favorite part, but his numbing shots hurt way less than normal too. He also doesn't try to force you to do unnecessary treatments to make more money and shows you the prices you need to pay upfront before anything is done. And, at the end, he even gave me a gift card to the smoothie bar next door after completing my treatment. If you're looking for a personable dentist, go here.

Walking through the front door of this Sherman Oaks Smile Center from start to finish was a happy, comfortable and amazing experience. Ari, front desk manager and greeter made me feel at home right away and he was welcoming. Dr. Aaron Kahen is the most skilled, professional and creative dentist who has ever worked on my smile. Dr. Kahen is expert at communications skills, and proudly promotes his new Smile Center practice. He is an experienced and seasoned dentist with a heart of gold. This is because Dr. Kahen excels at pain management and regularly asks how I am feeling. He does a complete job and informs me all along the way what he is doing and planning to do during my treatment and care plan. His dental hygienist assistant Alan is also friendly and professional doing a complete job with his responsibilities at this busy practice. He also has a sense of humor which keeps all his patients happy in the extraordinarily Clean service area. None of these professional people take short cuts, you will feel cared for, Happy and comfortable while you are in their care.
There was literally No Pain so no worries in this important area of your visit. Needing help with your teeth by any scope of importance? These dental experts will take care of you every step of the way. On a scale of 1 to 10 in all areas of the Sherman Oaks Smile Center, I give a Ten (10) holding one more star for an Eleven (11) because based on my surgeries there with Dr. Kahen and his Staff they deserve that kind of Recommendation from me and more! I write this review with boundless enthusiasm. To say that Sherman Oaks Smile Center is a remarkable company would not be untrue, but it runs the risk of downplaying how thorough, diligent, and integral the dentist office is for those whom they serve. It’s know surprise, then,—from my view— why SOSC is shoulders above many other dental providers in the Los Angeles. The SOSC exhibit candor, vulnerability, and true strength, for which I am grateful to witness. Dr. Aaron is a bona fide dentist! Thanks for everything, Doc.
