Dr. Alex Vasserman earned his D.M.D. degree from Boston University School of Dental Medicine with a Masters in Graduate Medical Sciences. Upon finishing dental school, he was accepted into a rigorous residency program at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., where he completed a curriculum in restorative dentistry, esthetics, full-mouth reconstruction, implantology, pediatric dentistry and emergency medicine.
Dr. Vasserman continued his education by partaking in an advanced, two-year, implantology program at Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, earning a fellowship with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
In addition, he is a certified Invisalign provider and a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Orthodontics. He is also an active member of the American Dental Association, The New York State Dental Association, The Academy of General Dentistry and The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
In his spare time Alex is a musician and stays active—whether it’s hiking outdoors or in a CrossFit gym!

I wish my other doctors were even remotely similar to Dr. Vasserman. He took an incredible amount of time with me, has a small practice with no unnecessary overhead, everything was on time and precise, everyone was incredibly friendly and patient. The doctor explained every step of the way to me, was not annoyed by questions (so many doctors appear to hate patients who might have read something themselves), and at no point pushed me towards any treatment. He laid out my options but didn't make me feel like the sky was falling. I often leave medical professionals upset (even though I am in pretty good health). This was one of the very few times in my life I was treated with respect and I left feeling I might actually be OK, not infirm or disabled. Also the practice fully embraces modern technology, which is not common in the medical field. If I could give Dr. Vasserman 6 stars, I would!

I had a great experience at Dr. Vasserman's about a year ago. Both him and his hygienist were very nice and friendly. They were very accommodating since I was running late. I ended up switching insurance, but I'll probably see him again now that I have PPO.

Dr Vasserman was great Very engaged and concerned about me as a patient. You get the feeling with some that you are just another number. Not with Dr Vasserman he genuinely cares about his patients and explained every step of the way. I would recommend him to anyone.

I went to see Dr. Vasserman after I had seen 4 other dentists before, all of which I was not happy with. The dentists I had seen before were more on the side of trying to suggest and sell to me as many things to fix on my teeth as possible. Mostly I didn't really get what was going on and if I really needed the suggested treatment, I thought it might just be like this in NYC. With Dr. Vasserman however it was a complete different story. He came straight to the point and explained everything to me in detail, so I had the feeling I was part of this whole thing and fully understood what was going on and what I needed. This will be my place to go from now on and I highly recommend it.

My visit for the first time with Dr. Alex has been the best dentist visit I have ever had. He was so thorough and patient while explaining the options I have for my filling. He even drew pictures to show me! I usually hate going to the dentist, like most people, but this visit has been surprisingly pleasant. He is very welcoming and allows you to ask any questions and he addresses each concern you have. I will be recommending Dr. Alex to everyone I know!

Dr. Vasserman is outgoing and friendly and--I would never expect to say this about a dentist--fun. I really appreciated that he took the time to talk me through every one of my questions, and didn't just pop in at the end of a cleaning to check everything for 30 seconds like most (he actually did the cleaning). All of his staff reflect this awesome attitude toward patients. And I'd like a link to his spotify playlist. I will definitely be back!

I've had two separate appointments with Dr. Vasserman already (one check up/cleaning, and then a filling), and both experiences were great. He's very down to earth, but professional. And I felt very comfortable during my procedure. Everyone in the office, from the receptionist on, was very nice. I definitely recommend him!

Dr. Vasserman came out to greet me and introduce himself when I first arrived. Nothing about the first visit ever felt rushed, and he gave thorough answers to all of my questions. Dr. Vasserman is such a smart 'n' pleasant guy, and he has a nice space and friendly staff. Since my first visit, I have gone back a few times and have had stellar treatment each time.
